MAIN HOST HOTEL UPDATE :
Our main host hotel at the Holiday Inn is technically sold out, but this is the time where rooms sometimes do become available as people release holds on rooms as their plans may have changed. It is always worth a call to them to see if a room is available under the group block before looking at other options! The main host hotel is where our free shuttle runs from on the Monday beach day, and where the Saturday fetish photo tour starts from, and is where the single biggest group of VFW attendees will be staying!

Option #1 – Sandman (recommended)
We have ALSO secured a discounted group rate at The Sandman, a higher end hotel just a few blocks away from our main host hotel at the Holiday Inn. The Sandman offers many higher-end amenities, such as ocean view balconies, and in-suite jacuzzis! Scroll down to the Sandman booking section for full details on how to book at this hotel. Located right in the heart of the bustling and kink-friendly Davie St gay village, it’s an easy 3-4 block to walk over to connect up with friends at the Holiday Inn, and make use of the shuttle services we have there for the Monday Beach trip & more. PLEASE NOTE – there is NO CAB ACCESS to the Sandman on the Saturday of VFW as the area is closed to vehicle traffic for fireworks night at nearby beaches. However it is an easy 1 1/2 block walk to catch a cab from there!

The Sandman is our overflow and higher-end hotel option, offering rooms starting at C$304 / US$225 per night. All rooms have full kitchens, balconies with spectacular views of the city or ocean, indoor parking, access to the full-size 4th floor rooftop pool and more. Of particular interest will be the rooms with ensuite jacuzzi – perfect for unwinding after a long night of fetish partying! There are only a limited number of each type of room, so book early! Our three options include :

King Suite Ocean View – CDN$369/night – King size bed, sofa pull out, seperate living room, balcony with panoramic ocean view
Jacuzzi Penthouse Studio – CDN$369/night – Queen size bed, jacuzzi in bedroom, balcony with panoramic city view
PLEASE NOTE – On the main night of VFW, Saturday July 27, it’s fireworks night, and the surrounding neighbourhood around the Sandman is closed to vehicle access from 7-11:30 PM, due to mass influx of people walking into the area to view the fireworks from the nearby beaches. This means you cannot get a cab directly to the hotel on this night. However it is only a short 1 1/2 block walk to the corner of Davie & Burrard, where you can easily hail a cab, as many people will be getting out of them on this corner, heading to the fireworks.

IF YOU WAIT TOO LONG AND THE HOTELS OUT – WE SUGGEST AIRBNB!
The hotels sell out FAST, and people always wait to long and end up looking for places to stay at the last minute. If this is you, we have some suggestions for you!
In mid-July, with heatwaves and amazing weather coursing across Vancouver, and excitement ramping up further every single day for Vancouver Fetish Weekend at the end of the month, we get overloaded hearing from many people who only just started looking for places to stay and discovering WE AREN’T KIDDING when we say Vancouver is in high demand in summer. Once the host hotels are SOLD OUT of our discount blocks, regular rooms jump by over $100/night, and commonly go for over $400/night, which is absolutely standard across Vancouver – IF you can even find a room! Most places will already be booked out, with rooms being scarce and hard to find at all!
At that point we highly suggest trying AirBnB – rates can be very reasonable, with amazing places to stay in downtown Vancouver, close to all the action of VFW! Head to the website, see what you can find, and make sure to refine your search to the areas we suggest.

– West End (NOT West Vancouver, that is a whole other outlying suburb, nowhere near downtown!)

Outside of our discounted block, prices jump by over $150 PER NIGHT if you miss out for just a regular run-of-the-mill hotel room, IF you can even find one.
